'Drip Tray' for Defender. Suggestions?

Buy a dozen used carpet squares from a second hand shop. They will soak up the oil and can be hosed down and put back without doing any damage.
I paid $1 each for mine. Unlike our D1, our Defender doesn't leak, so I use them inside the vehicle instead.

Park it over that mongrel ants nest in your front lawn - revenge!!

My driveway is dirt gravel and weeds LOL. But if I was going to seal it, would use black bitumen or just fresh gravel I reckon :)

Supercheap has these:

SCA Drip Tray - Metal, 86X36CM | Supercheap Auto

And unless you have a leak at the rear diff, this try will capture most Defender engine/gearbox oil leaks or buy two trays.

Fix the leaks with the money you’re spending on the driveway......

When I first got my D2a it leaked from pretty much every component and now that I have stopped all the leaks I no longer spray paint driveways and I don't have to keep topping up the oils and coolant either.
Everyone Bangs on about Landrovers leaking oil But seriously like any other brand if they are well maintained this doesn't happen[biggrin][bigrolf]

I'm trying to maintain my D2a and pay 'Land Rover experts' to do the work - still leaks.

Can I swap with you?

Don't wash the carpets, but take them with when remote touring, that way they can be lit as fantastic smoke signal if you need help/run out of oil.

Not a chance Mate, I have spent a small fortune getting my D2a up to scratch[biggrin]

If you go down the drip tray path are you under cover?? If not than I can see it raining when you’re not expecting it, fill the drip tray than oil everywhere.

What about sealing the driveway so spills can be wiped up?
