I will read ANY publication about something that sparks my interest But as soon as I discover that the truth/facts are getting "Distorted" I loose interest very quickly.
This tends to happen on a pretty regular basis whenever I read what the Guardian, The Conversation and a few others have to say.

Except I read what they write as fact based and far less distorted than other publications.
Particularly with social media and 'bots' now skewing 'news', reading between the lines and using multiple sources is much more important than it ever was.
A mate who is on the opposite side of the fence when it comes to climate change only said last week he's so careful now when it comes to going in to bat for others, as we are often only getting partial or very skewed 'facts'
In psychology it's called confirmation bias when we seek out opinions or cherry pick 'facts' that confirm a pre existing belief or emotion.
We all need to read widely and be prepared to change a position as new information comes to light.

Trout....are you ok?
Fairly apt for this thread. Perhaps Mr. Clemens was a seer, of sorts.
