The states want federal government funding to fix state power problems, such as upgrading the Snowy hydro link to Victoria, replacing worn out Liddell with renewables and electrifying Curtis Island LNG infrastructure. Will the federal response be factual or ideological?

As for environmentally sustainable transport all that electricity has to come from somewhere, where would that be in the foreseeable future when wind and solar cannot produce 50% of our current requirements ?

So have all the doomsday criers parked their i/c vehicles, cut off the power and given up buying from shops or online?

I might move to Bundaberg. Lots of cheap houses here. I saw a beachfront block at Burnett Heads advertised for $69,000 today. Can Defenders be converted to run on sugar cane?

The inventors of the motor vehicle used horse and buggy. And so did the people who eventually used the technology. Why? Because that was the technology available at the time.

The electric light bulb was invented by people using gas lamps. And so did the people who eventually used the technology Why? Because that was the technology available at the time.

Did they stop using the old technology before the new tech came along? No.
So why should a different set of rules apply now?
