Who said climate change isn't a real threat?
One of the most populated countries in the World just to our north, is running out of water. People, when they are desperate, will do desperate things. As will governments. How deep in denial will denialists go.

It isn't so much a case of running out of water, It's more of a case of too many people using the available water resource.
Blaming a problem cased by overpopulation/overexploitation on "climate change" is rubbish.

All the "gee whiz" stuff that Bob 10 quotes from any source he can find is all done in Australia.

Drip irrigation is used almost exclusively for horticulture crops in Australia .
Drip irrigation is not suitable for annual crops as the pipes get damaged by the planting procedures.
flood irrigation is very sophisticated with laser levelling used to utilise the last drop of water .

In fact Israel is notorious for stealing Australian seed material . This has happened with Kangaroo Paw and other Australian natives.
Water fights are usually caused between countries when an upstream country builds a new dam, for example Egypt has a dispute with Sudan at present as Sudan is building a Hydro electric dam. The dispute is over how long Sudan takes to fill the dam and is so far amicable. Egypt wants 10 years and Sudan AFAIR wants 6.
Sydney water also uses sophisticated technology to find leaks, probably the same as Israel.
The disputes currently on in Australia are the result of the Murray Darling system being over allocated and a great deal of water being reserved to keep Lake Alexandrina open for some obscure reason. Apparently there was no consideration of droughts!

'twas on the news t'other night that the Tugun plant is working at 100% capacity. This is what all that money was spent for to provide supply in times of extreme drought.

Thanks. Didn't know it had been started.
