No one is denying the climate is changing. It is the statistical basis on which they are making these claims that is a concern. Man has been keeping records for a very short time in comparison to the earth's history.

Total bollocks, How do you know the photo on left isnt taken during a King tide and photo at right during low tide .

The Earths climate stats and Co2 levels are in the geological record and permafrost over hundreds of thousands of years.

    Global Sea Level Rise

The rate that sea level is changing is called the trend in sea level. The sea level trend is presented as the height of change per year for example as mm per year.

The amount of sea level rise has been determined globally from long term tide gauge records. Globally, sea level rise has been reported at an average rate of 1.8 mm per year for the past century and 1.9 mm/year from 1961 up to 2009.

Since 1993, measurements from satellite radar altimeters have allowed estimates of global mean sea level. These measurements are continuously calibrated against a network of tide gauges. When seasonal and other variations are subtracted, they allow estimation of the global sea level trend.

The global sea level trend from the beginning of satellite measurements in 1993 up to 2014 is 3.2 mm/year. The sea level trend for the period 1993 to 2009 calculated from tide gauge records is 2.8 mm/year very close to the satellite altimeter global sea level trend.

Do you believe Marine Science Australia?

There is a good discussion here
    https://saltbushclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/sea-levels-sydney.pdf
The mean annual rise at Fort Denison has been 0.65MM +-0.01MM since 1880 or thereabouts. The site is well cited to NOAA. That is about 91MM over the last 140 years

There is also an increasing discussion about satellite accuracy as recent research suggests that satellites have difficulty in discriminating sea levels when wave levels are different and also when tree cover changes. You will note a sudden increase in sea level change from 1992 when satellites started began being used.

Very odd website that ABC Sometimes.
    Appears the world is burning.
If its on a website and has an image it must be real!
I actually googled westfield shopping center climate change and that link come up

    Yeah!
Some strange fringe info from the likes of these fanatical types.

I'm trying to understand the message they're trying to pit out with carp like that.
I was born in a year slightly cooler than average, which preceded a year that was slightly warmer than average.
Some meaningless info about how by the time I was 6, I'd barely experienced much heat.
Didn't matter that at 6yo, I then experienced a warmer year than previously, and that at about 13-15yo, I experienced even higher heat than average again.
Between the ages 8 to 13, I supposedly experienced much cooler period, approximately 1°C cooler than average.

All I can think of with this moronic info is that I'm now much better adapted to 'climate extremes', because I'm theoretically a much hardier human than more recent additions to the human species.

And this stupid notion of 1°C warmer yearly averages ... what does that even supposed to actually mean?
What, that every day, "on average" it's 0.0027°C warmer than the same day the previous year?
That this 0.0027° increase on average on a daily basis is somehow going to shorten my life expectancy (or some other life threatening issue).
So, I'm going to die .... really!?
Geez, I wasn't expecting that! I thought I was going to live for ever, or something more along that kind of time frame.

Today is about 10°C warmer than yesterday ... should I have died today too?
This coming weekend is going to be about 20°C warmer than yesterday too ... over 3 days too(>40°C)

Should I be making funeral arrangements .... for everyone?

<tongue firmly out of cheek now>

The weird anomaly in all this talk of supposedly 'more extreme' climate.
In the cooler period, the world experienced many hotter specific days, than is currently the supposed trend. eg. still highest ever recorded temperature measurement is from the 1990-1930s.
In Aus, Coober Pedy is still the location of the highest recorded temp(@ 50.7°C) on this continent .. from back in 1960.
While there are a lot of modern day records, most, if no tall of the highest ever recorded temps are from 100 or so years ago(exception is Europe, Greece, 1977).

So, if this supposed climate change is making weather more extreme, then you'd expect at least one of those historically recorded locations to have hit about 1°C hotter than previously recorded .. remember the globe has on average warmed by about 1°C since.. so why haven't those places, like Coober Pedy and Death Valley .. recorded 1°C higher than their respective 1960 and 1905 record temps?

Should be a lot easier in modern times to actually surpass historical records, considering that almost ALL earlier recorded data has been lowered too. ie. it's easier now to surpass the record of 50.7°C now, than it would have been had it been maintained at 51.1°C.
YET! .. still nothing. I dunno what the hottest day recorded in Aus has been since 1960, but it's certainly not more than it has ever been.
How does this translate to a globe that has been warming by 1°C 'on average'?

Geez, can't imagine how those 6 year olds back in 1960 Oodnadatta coped in such arctic conditions!

I was under the impression the Cudlee Creek fire was out but seems not, as the radio report this a.m. said they were trying" get on top of it" before the weekend when conditions are set to change for the worst again.

One would think that "on top" is the last place they'd want to be unless one is in a Water Bomber.
