Put sugar on the window sill to attract ants which will bite him when he lands on it.

just got rid of our ant problem thanks to a couple of wandering echidnas. Thinking maybe a platic snake on the window sill or are they too smart for that trick?

I’d suggest not a humane idea.

I don’t think it’s acceptable to blind an animal and then let it try and survive.
Remember it’s still a native and doing what it does naturally.

    Cockatoo problem

The snake is worth a try, so too a large Eagle/falcon/“bird scare device.
I have a pet Cocky and he roams about the place at will. He can see the whistling kites far above and will stop fossicking when he sees them and heads back to safer places.
But he was unperturbed by a dummy owl.
Interesting when the Western Bowerbirds come into the yard, they mimic the call of the Whistling Kites, scaring the other birds from the immediate area so they get a clearer go at the food source.
Download a the call/cry of a Kite/eagle etc and play it back may be an option too.

I hope it’s only a short term thing.

Much too smart. It has to be something which makes him uncomfortable there.
When I was a kid on the farm a cockatoo ate his way through the fibro wall of our laundry to get inside. Literally gouged a big hole in the wall. They are tough and determined.

I tried rubber snakes , laser pointer & owl s from Bunings didn't get rid of the swallows & asia minor birds I had in my garage. The Owls were just another place for them to land. Ended up having to destroy there nest every time they started rebuilding it & minor birds just kept throwing shock absorber rubbers at them untill they got the message.
