Over the last few months I have been getting swollen legs and feet due to fluid buildup. I put this down to two things; my age and fluid retention tablets I am on. I went to the Dr a few weeks back. He took a look at my legs and then I am off to a cardiologist. Yesterday I found myself in Woolongong hospital having an angiogram. 30 minutes later I found myself with two stents fitted to the right coronary artery. The biggest stent opened a blockage that was around 80% shut. Symptoms? NO CHEST PAIN, NO MYSTERIOUS ACHES ANYWHERE. JUST SWOLLEN LEGS AND A LITTLE SHORTNESS OF BREATH. It seems I was as close to a possible heart attack as one could get. PLEASE GET CHECKED OUT!
