    I seen this on the news this morning- never heard him called a doctor only a chiropractor.

    Shocking footage , but why are parents taking such a small child to see a chiropractor?

    Cheers Ean

    Radio and TV called him a doctor. The head of the Chiropractic Association was just on defending child abuse by suggesting the British have proof abusing babies is good. sadly we pay for these people to go to the 4 universities which allow this

    Thanks for your response Professor Ean Austral

    Chiropractors, along with Vets are not "Doctors".

    They can only be referred to as Doctors if they hold a Medical Degree or an academic PHD/Doctoral level degree.

    Yes. And to respond to garrycol ‘ s pointed comment re vets not being ‘real’ doctors;

    A. many have a degree call DVM. (Doctor of veterinary medicine. Others myself included have a bachelors degree and are technically not able to call themselves doctor

    B. All study for a minimum of 5 years

    C. All must work in a diagnostic and case management setting far more complex than any human medico subsidised by the private or public health insurance setting

    So your condescending attitude is entirely unwarranted

    I can't see why vets would want to refer to themselves as doctors, unless it's some kind of inverted snobbery. Vets have to treat multiple species with vastly differing physiological attributes and apart from the odd parrot, they all lack verbal skills.

    Vets are Doctors - I work with several Medical Doctors. They specialists in General Practice. ( GPs) They happily acknowledge vets working on Mammals Big small and everything in between , Reptiles..... are gutsy they do mention killing some animals by mistake is not nearly as bad as killing people. The chiro is a very different snake oil sales and very dangerous unless employed to give you a back rub in my view. Back rubs do not obliterate the need for vaccines or blood pressure meds. I know a chiro who died of a heart attack believing a back rub meant he did not need blood pressure medication and several near me have links to web sites claiming no need to get vaccinated if you see them

    Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Veterinary Biology + Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) cut from one of the universities which also spend our hard earned money on quacks sadly.

    School of Health Professions | Murdoch University in Perth Australia They very rudely put Nurses, Psychologist in the same basket as quacks
