Put it this way, dear old Dad drove his Jeep Wagoneer years ago in front wheel drive for weeks as he had to drop the rear shaft for some reason or other and the Dana 27 is right up there with a Rover diff for strength 
Your rear Salisbury diff is basically unbreakable, the axles less so, but as the blokes above have said you'll be fine.
