Done my RSA many moons ago and this is definetly correct, I could imagine a premises/publican could refuse entry if they felt it was necessary.

Your honor due to the age of the patron, my concern was that she or her friends may have been driving on P plates which requires a BAC of 0.00, As she had ordered multiple beverages I had no reasonable way of immediately discerning who the beer was for. The girls all appeared quite young and without asking them all for ID there was a reasonable possibility that it may have been for someone who was not of legal age.
Er yes I guess so, probably have sign up saying the same.......but there approach was crap and without a decent reason.
Just wondering what you would do.....
Last week I drove past the pub twice and recall only seeing one car parked in front......
Anyways, I’ll drop in one day to get a feel of the vibe.
A bunch of assumptions........means **** all.
Either way the girls go camping out there a bit, I told them the spend their money elsewhere based on the service, but knowing them they’ll pop back in given it’s the closest pub. Good service keeps business alive.
Well I just read the course notes for RSA, nowhere does it say they can refuse service for no reason.......
Maybe this pub has additional rules pinned on the wall.
Just to recap they ended up allowing the daughter to buy two beers......and by the sounds of it they’ll return.
Wasn’t a minor
Wasn’t intoxicated
Wasn’t disorderly

Anyways I’m a bit old fashion and was guided by my dad and his brothers back in the 80’s, Service is everything at a pub.
One wonders whether "they" may have thought your Daughter may have bought beers for the others?
Easy to police.
Thats the golden bit, If a patron is buying more than one drink then the bar staff has the right to refuse service until all members of the group have proven age.
also, under unduely intoxicated, if there is reason to suspect that the person may attempt to drive over the BAC for their license conditions service may be refused unless a reasonable alternative was provided1
I'd have done something similar in the same boat as the barman initially refused unless all the girls proved age or a Suitable DD was identified.
I just read the material for the RSA training and about a quarter the way through the questions......
Er, she brought 1 alcoholic drink, never said she brought more than one....
Para two....doesn’t make sense and is not part of the training under RSA. She was sober.
Para three...again no requirement and would mean I’d go elsewhere for a drink
As mention, the girls will more than likely pop back in, she come asking if they could actually refuse service. Based on my research today I find it strange they tried to offer her a softie.
That the problem with the world today.....bad service everywhere and people thinking they know best and making their own rules up.
