    Washing up

The least exciting question on the forum:

Anyone know of a place that will get all the mud off your LR?

I'm talking about all of the mud.

I go off to that place where you put the coins in the slot and spend more than I want, and get to my last $1 and discover a new hole full of mud.

    Haven't got and outdoor hose.

I read about a UK fella who did chassis painting/rustproofing, specialised in LR, and steam cleaned under the car before he painted - 4hrs IIRC.

    Something in between, perhaps?

    Cheers
    Simon

I have a Karcher pressure washer bought at great expense...but of course I can't use it in Sydney due to water restrictions

So may be we could do a deal with one of those hand wash places to use their so called restriction exempt recycled water supply

anybody who does car detailing will do it!!!

I had a guy from cargroomers clean ALL the mud off mine (4 hours solid work) and it only cost $50

when I called him out again he said that if is was as dirty as the last time it would cost $250

The way I figure it is that these days the mud layer protects the car from the damaging effects of infrared radiation due to the depletion of the ozone layer

Hang on :? ....if water is so scarce where do you get the mud from
