    VDO replacement bulbs (LED)

    Hi guys. I have a 52mm VDO tachometer in my 300 Tdi Defender and the original bulb has blown and I want to replace with a green LED Type E bulb
    Upgrade 600-879. I have replaced all the Land Rover lamps with LEDS and they are much much better...you can actually see the dial faces at night :-)

    The above LEDs (600-879) do not seem to be available locally but can be sourced from the US @ USD18 plus shipping.

    Are there alternatives for this LED as this price is more than excessive. A similar bulb from Jaycar is around $3.50?

    Without a picture and size of the bulb it is difficult to know what a 600-879 bulb is.
    I get most of my LED bulbs from Ebay.
    Have you tried this ?

    I should have posted a photo unfortunately the vehicle is getting the air con fixed this week so no chance of a photo for a few days.

    Yes I have found just what I need on eBay but in the US and between USD16-28 plus shipping. I think my next stop will be Jaycar.
