Thread: Energy security, and our National fuel reserve

Yes, we're producing less ourselves, so stocks on shore are down. I'm not convinced stocks on water should be counted in the 90 days. I think it should only cover stocks within Australian territory. If that means we need a national fuel storage then let's do it.
Also, let's get the Timor Sea oil programme happening.
And, let's get serious about encouraging electric vehicles to reduce the need to import oil. Self-sufficiency should be the aim.

    Have to be a subscriber.

China is reasserting its traditional place as the centre of world economics, unlike Western Europe which was always a backwater. Australia is doing quite well from this at the moment.

It is naive to think any Nation carries out these Nation building / enhancing projects without having National interest firmly in mind. England and the Empire? and others. It just so happens the 21st century is China's century. You either get on board, or get left behind. The trick is , how to do it without losing your National identity, and integrity.

And, inscrutable. The old saying, we have the clocks, they have the time, comes to mind.
