Close one eye, tilt your head to 45°, open eye uppermost, poke the tip of your tongue out of the corner of your mouth on the opposite side to the open eye. Hold this pose, facing the object to be measured, for 58.75 seconds, then slowly drawl "Hmmmm, I'd say xyz.abc* units."

*The more decimal places, up to three, used makes the measurement appear most accurate but four decimals make it look like a guess.

Like my employer, when he got to the options page, he put two ticks in the air leaks box.

Farmer delivering hay in drought area booked for being 2 cms over width.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I am impressed that they have equipment that can so accurately measure the width of something as irregular as a load of hay bales.

That's disgusting, I might understand it it was some steel sticking out 20 mm but not hay. The only way this could have been more benign is if he was carry a load of marshmallows!
