Jamo, Andy et al,
Hopefully in a month or so, some decent rains will make Harvey an interesting trip again. It was pretty tame when RichardK and I went through there last month - much has been 'dozered and cleared.
Cheers,
Gordon

Holy guacamole,
That's very scary. If you didn't stop in time I suppose you would have saved a heap of time by getting to the bottom 2.5 hrs earlier but just a bit more frightened.
Here's the link to the Gallery.

That IS impressive... no amount of articulation would have kept those front wheels on the ground!

If I'd known what was ahead, I probably would have let it topple over the edge, rather than brake, and then drive down in the same manner I did eventually.
Mind you, that's assuming that I knew in advance that such a slope was drivable in this car. It was my first foray out in the sand, after all

Er, actually what I meant was that it was my first foray on the sand in _this_ vehicle - I didn't know exactly what it could handle.
I know what you mean about 'first time blues' however - did the same first time out in my old Range Rover. Couldn't understand how everyone else was zooming past me until I noticed that they all seemed to have flat tyres! Then the penny dropped
ops:
Cheers,
Gordon
