    Jamo, Andy et al,

Hopefully in a month or so, some decent rains will make Harvey an interesting trip again. It was pretty tame when RichardK and I went through there last month - much has been 'dozered and cleared.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Holy guacamole,

That's very scary. If you didn't stop in time I suppose you would have saved a heap of time by getting to the bottom 2.5 hrs earlier but just a bit more frightened.

Here's the link to the Gallery.

That IS impressive... no amount of articulation would have kept those front wheels on the ground!

Maybe we can get Andy to grab a water truck to speed things up!

If I'd known what was ahead, I probably would have let it topple over the edge, rather than brake, and then drive down in the same manner I did eventually.

Mind you, that's assuming that I knew in advance that such a slope was drivable in this car. It was my first foray out in the sand, after all

    Cheers,

    Gordon

The link above is my first foray mate with high tide coming in fast. Wasnt the car it was the person ummm me not knowing about sand driving, letting down tyres etc etc 8O , so enjoy ,

Er, actually what I meant was that it was my first foray on the sand in _this_ vehicle - I didn't know exactly what it could handle.

I know what you mean about 'first time blues' however - did the same first time out in my old Range Rover. Couldn't understand how everyone else was zooming past me until I noticed that they all seemed to have flat tyres! Then the penny dropped ops:

    Cheers,

    Gordon
