    Lets just wait.
Saying no-one is any the wiser is completely false imo, but if you truly believe that no worries.

No one has ever said they know what is under the wrap in its entirety. Smaller details can be ascertained by what we see, what we dont see, what JLR are on record in the press or in their facebook video saying it will or wont be.

For sure we have to wait to see it in the flesh, however there has been many "facts" revealed to date and there no doubt will be more yet before full release this year, if you want to "just wait", maybe just unsubscribe from "won't be retro", if you don't maybe pop a little thanks in every now and then when people post up new finds or details, that's more in the spirit of this forum wouldn't you agree.
Imagine we are around the campfire. The never ending story. LR Recall.

no I dont agree, you want us to thank you and pat you on the back for putting up hundreds of unsubstantiated posts, contantly recopied photos, hundreds of personal opinions, all of which are speculation.

your "confirmed" JLR releases are not JLR, they are an American Land Rover Dealership who are not JLR , they may represent JLR at some point and JLR are not saying anything because they are getting constant free publicity

keep up your work , I admire you for you tenacity , you must spend so much time every day searching for new tidbits , but no pats on the back or recognition that you appear to be looking for.

Hey matey, the last post wasn't for you at all i was replying to someone else, that's cool if you feel that way. Rest assured I never asked for any pats on the back personally, there are many people that post things up, notice the wording again.

Im sure i speak for others when I say, we don't do this for recognition. Me personally its a hobby and am genuinely excited, if i wanted recognition i would be on every thread posting my opinions constantly, which i dont.

For me i dont spent much time actually, lands in my inbox each day The never ending story. LR Recall.

I regards to hundreds of unsubstantiated posts, please direct me to 1 The never ending story. LR Recall.

If you don't like it unsubscribe, if you do maybe show some respect to the people that actually put effort in.

Heres a little bit of light reading.

VW has learned is and winning back favour by moving forward transitioning toward 100% Electric .

Diesels ain't diesels, to coin a phrase, see Euro4,5,6, etc, let see what Euro 7 brings.

As for going 100% Electric I think there is a whole lot of "Green Washing" going on, lot's of companies, govt's, city councils have put out statements about converting to electric, but look around how many electric or even hybrids do you see wearing govt garage plates, or council or company livery? Very few indeed from my observations. Easy to hire a PR, firm put out a press statement, and reap the feel good rewards, without doing anything beyond purchasing a token vehicle.

Spoke to someone who had trialled an electric. It had a stated range of x amount. (I cannot remember the stated figure so that is why I called it X .)If you used it at night and put your lights on, your wipers on and your heater on your range of X soon dropped considerably. Have not seen this stated in the advertising for these cars, unless it is in the obligatory small print. That's before you add in the family.
It would appear that the latest diesels actually put out less C02 than petrol engines. Regarding the NOX emissions it seems that these are well in hand too. I wonder how many people who champion these electrics care that a lot of them are produced using energy from nuclear reactors which they unreservedly condemn.
I think that the trouble with the diesel, is that a lot of city folk bought them and spend a lot of time sitting in traffic. Indeed the car sales man probably pushed the fuel efficiency of the diesel on the customer without explaining that city driving is not the diesel's strong point. This is not what a diesel was designed to do. Also couple this with very short city journeys where the diesel engine does not get a chance to warm up and it's short comings come to the fore. This in no way exonerates VW. Give the diesel an open road and we have a different kettle of fish.
I do not think that the electric or even hybrid technology is far enough advanced to punish and demonise us that drive a diesel vehicle. The technology should be in a high enough state of advancement to allow a straight change over from existing diesel technology. I do not think it has reached this stage yet.
When I have stopped at the roadside to give assistance to someone with a puncture or breakdown, I have yet to be asked what the emissions on my Defender are.
Gave someone a tow start recently and guess what...emissions weren't mentioned.
