    Australia is still very lucky thankfully, We are not on the graph but I guess we are at about the poms level for out of pocket costs.

    I am a Type II diabetic controlled by diet alone. Other pharmaceuticals for other illnesses cost me $78 per 30 days at pension rates. Thanks to the Aus. governments who arranged our health care system.

    I have to lay-buy my meds, but they're still cheaper than a funeral.

    My insulin costs me very little and the needles are free. but other medical stuff costs me about $9k a year out of pocket

    The meds i was on cost over $80/month.

    My pensioner mother was on exactly the same stuff,for $6/month.

    Thank goodness i am now off them,but haven't had the funeral yet
