    I'm sure people here are on top of these scams, but you might have elderly relatives who could panic. E-mail from the CIA, no less.

    I got one a while ago saying that they had control of my camera and could see what I was doing when on the PC and if I didn't pay they would send the pictures to all my contacts.

    It would probably really worry you if you had something to hide.

    You would really have to live in a vacuum now days to not know about all these scams , the people who get conned must never be interested in current events or watch the news these days to their detrement .

    I have followed Bill Gates and stuck a sticky note over my PC camera .

    I'll bet they provided a bitcoin address for your 'penance' and the word 'onanism' was mentioned.

    I knew it was a scam straight away coz I'd already blacked out the camera!!
