    you obviously don't....

it was sent underground because the vast majority of people didn't wish to see religion and politics discussed in the main areas of the forum as it would show up in searches etc etc

so we made an area that only those with an interest, are subjected to it.

any other so called "facts" are utter drivel.

one of the basic tenets is that you do not report posts in CA as the reports are visible to all moderators, and again, the vast majority don't want to read them. so the rule was devised that there be no reports but instead you PM'ed the moderator looking after CA if you had a grievance.

pretty easy actually and no deep dark conspiracy other than saving people from reading stuff they don't want to read

CA was not "sent underground", it has always been a "by application only", public not permitted only, forum. It is thus because the subjects permitted have the potential to be troublesome. Some of the Mods and Admins considered the potential for trouble to be not worth the risk of extra unpaid work. A compromise was reached where a Mod took total responsibility for the area. If reports are sent to the Mod Pen, CA will be shut down, hence the "What happens in CA stays in CA" rule.
In actual fact, there is fewer reports from CA than any other area, because the participants disagree in a mature and respectful manner. To the best of my knowledge nobody has ever had access to CA revoked, that demonstrates the civility that robust discussion can undertake.

Its interesting that the members of CA dont take their bat and ball and go home when somebody actually disagrees with them on a public Forum,,,

I seriously doubt it, Pedro, you far too nice.
I'm sure you know I was being sarky.

Edit, being sarcastic in the OP, not about you being a nice bloke.
    Apologies for the ambiguity.

I understand what you say. No conspiracy theories here. IF you were serious, you would have CA as it's own part of AULRO , like everything else. Then, people would not read " stuff " they don't want to read. How about it? open up CA to all of AULRO ? And if not , why not? And as for show up in searches, what are you trying to hide?
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

You're going round in circles Bob, have a look in CA, then make an informed decision. If you don't like it, don't go back, or ask for your access to be cancelled. Until then, stop bagging an area about which you know SFA.
