It is open to anyone on this forum, all they have to do is ask for access. It is a public area that anyone signing up here and asking will be let in - ne vetting, no questions asked, simple as. Happy to organise access for you Bob so you can have a look see - you’ll soon work out there’s no secret squirrel stuff going on behind closed doors. 😊
Come take a look, we’d love to see you in there. 👍
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Personally, I don't think I'll bother as it happens. I can't keep up with all the other stuff that is always going on here ie. Jobs to do, people to see, decisions to be made etc etc etc .Anyway it can't be as much fun as being on this side of the fictitious "barrier." If I wanted disagreements et al I'd sit inside with 'er indoors & watch FOXTEL repeats.

Hey Bob,
I hear where you’re coming from but I decided to abide by AULRO rules to save on anxiety and for the sake of collective harmony.
Keeping politics and religion out of general discussion on AULRO makes sense. However I also believe that certain cultural and social topics are wrongly confused with political and religious topics. Sweeping these under the carpet in a private forum goes against the importance of open public discussion. Subjects such as racial diversity, discrimination based on gender or sexuality, mental health are all subjects I believe should be openly, respectfully and publicly discussed.
IMO, in the context of AULRO it comes down to whether the forum is about only the mechanics of Land Rovers, or also about the cultural context in which these vehicles exist. I’m interested in both, but many don’t seem to be. Land Rovers are cultural icons in my view, which require more than mechanical knowledge to navigate. The Australian cultural context, it’s history and future are inextricably linked to the means by which we travel this country, particularly in terms of vehicles which are designed to do so across a diversity of terrain and which define our relationship to where we live.
As demonstrated by the strength of the wider communities reaction in support of respectful discussion around many of your topical posts, I believe it would be the right thing for AULRO to not shy away from such important public discussion.
However as I’ve stated previously I will be guided by the mods and will keep my discussion to Land Rover specific related discussion until further notice.
Cheers, Zeros.
