    Power and television outage on the Fleurieu Peninsula

    There is currently a power outage on the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide, stretching from Aldinga to Kangaroo Island and over to Hindmarsh Island, affecting about 33000 customers. About 20 minutes after the power went off, all television reception ceased. Is it possible that we receive our signal from a local repeater, that has only got minimal battery backup?

    yes, very common.

    Power is back on now, and so is the television. Looks like my backup power system is more sophisticated than that of the television transmission tower.
