Fossils and dinosaurs...…..HMMMMM. Land rover drivers. Probably wouldn't notice, anyway.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

So, serious question, how much notice will we get, years, months, weeks or hours?

    Serious answer Ian:

Most probably no notice - the most likely asteroid that we wouldn't see is a "Sun-grazer", one that comes from behind the Sun being "hidden" from our view by the Sun's glare. So always be nice to each other in case that happens

The odds of this happening in our lifetimes are incalculably long.

That is what the dinosaurs said
Personally though IF an event like this was to happen I would prefer Not to be told about it.

IF, this where to happen, I would like about a week notice..........

so I could go back to Tassie, say hooroo to the mates, cuddle the cuddley ones, and belt the living suitcase out of the very prominent cad whom swindled 10 grand from me.

Why wait for an end of the world event to do that?, If the toad deserves a flogging just do it

I'd like a couple of months notice, enough time to hit the bank up for a big enough loan to go out having a fat time.

If you did that them "Murphy's law" would dictate that the asteroid would miss
