I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

If a similar occurrence were to happen now, how much notice would we have and could we do anything to prevent or mitigate the impact?
You will have about 1 day less than the time to the next federal or state election.

Mitigation measures will be announced by then.

you will all be dead before the end of the world.

no known asteroids are on collision course.

the only known or predicted end of the world currently , will be caused by Sol as it starts to change from its white dwarf phase into its red dwarf phase.

scientists claim indications are that it has started the first phase , hence why we are seeing continuous small but incremental increases in our average temperatures around the world.

the human body cannot sustain higher than 42*c average daily temperature , at this point it is unable to remain cool enough and starts to shut down.....super heat stroke.

some areas of the land may soon start to reach this average daily temperature and people will simply move away to a cooler place that can sustain life. Eventually this will cause population crowding with resultant food and water starvation problems before the temperature increases claim their lives. in reality we will all be burned to death if we dont kill each other first.

sounds like a movie, but scientists and astrophysicists seem to think within 1.5 million years Sol will grow so large as it supernovates that it will consume the first 5 planets and totally destroy the orbits of the others.

by the way these are not my predictions but those of scientists, astronomers, physicists and astrophysicists
