European Wasp warning for Western Australia.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

As a youngster in the UK I and many others were always getting stung by these horrid beasts. But I must admit it was mostly our own fault for interfering with their nests..... like sticking "banger" fireworks into the holes they love to make their homes in. Great fun we thought.
Or as in one school I went to in Surrey, throwing stones at the nests they made hanging from trees.
We loved watching them get dislodged by a well aimed stone or branch.... and then run like mad as they can fly very fast when annoyed. I found that out many times.
Good luck to those trying to get rid of the things.

Well here, they go underground & not hang as easy targets. Bees do though. Local Council bloke calls around after they have been reported & puffs some white powder in their nest. 1/2hr later, finito/kaput/dead as a dead thing.

    From the ABC News article

Edit 24.04.19. Re: I believe the white powder the council blokes use is Carbaryl, can be pretty deadly stuff I believe.
