    Bush bashing fun

Took my old beast out for a bush bash a couple days ago... in the hills around Mt Glorious/D'aguilar. We followed some old fire trails that hadn't been driven on for years, basically punching our way through small saplings in places and negotiating numerous gully crossings. Only came unstuck once when I didn't quite get the exact angle and slid sideways into the gully. Came very close to rolling...

After some digging behind the drivers driver's side rear tyre and a couple of us putting weight on the uphill side we got out with a little rocking backwards and forwards from 1st to reverse.

After this we were running dangerously low on fuel (beer, not diesel) so headed home.
End result was one broken indicator (driver's side front).

Has it occurred to you that this is the reason why you ended up in the ditch

Been up that way in my D2. It's rough. Good on you for giving it a go. Hope you had a vehicle with you.

He didn't say he was drinking. Cut him some slack. Just because many here would rather be in their favourite chair, with a blanket, than actually out testing their abilities, like most young fellas do, don't be grumpy old men. OR, he could have been just putting it out there to see your reaction.

So AULRO is not into 4 wheel driving? Or have I missed your point.? Just curious.
