trip to Mars? A few billion +++? 70k for 15 grams might be cheap?

A bit of Mars up for sale might go for "£50,000 ($70,000)" Had me pondering how much it would cost to go to Mars and back to grab a bit? A non return trips cost "NASA's Perseverance rover expected to cost $2.7 billion, rising to $2.9 billion when inflation is factored "

Double that or more for the return ???

"A chunk of Mars, some of the space rock that splattered a quiet English town and a dog kennel pierced by an object that came out of the sky.

All three items go under the hammer on Wednesday when London auction house Christie's holds its annual sale of rare and unusual meteorites.

Lots in the online auction are expected to fetch well in excess of £2m ($2.7m).

UK interest will be on a 15g fragment of the meteorite that fell over the Cotswold town of Winchcombe last year.

It could go for up to £50,000 ($70,000) - or more than 70 times the value of its weight in gold.

    "

One man suggest you can sell for house and move to Mars "Elon Musk says he is “confident” moving to Mars will “one day” cost less than $500,000 and “maybe even” cost below $100,000.While the final cost is “very dependent on [the] volume” of travelers, Musk said the cost of moving to Mars will be “low enough that most people in advanced economies could sell their home on Earth [and] move to Mars if they want.” " as we are still waiting for cybre trucks and flame throwers I am not selling my house yet

Back to the first trivia. The The dog house and 15g or rock are for sale- DOG is not for sale

I reckon the R is Standard SES "House Checked" code for "Rooted". Oh, & "Searched Already".

Well it would be unless they get the Roofer in. I wonder whether holding that rock will turn him into Clark Kent?

I'll be buggered if that is the Cotswolds unless the Equator has slipped a bit. Very Tropical.

    Its not mine!

had another chuckle- Its not mine says everyone

"A 12-metre long piece of space junk is set to hit the Moon and leave a giant crater in its wake

    "
The rocket has been tumbling haphazardly through space, experts believe, since China launched it nearly a decade ago. But Chinese officials deny it's theirs.
No matter whose it is, scientists expect the object to carve out a hole 10 to 20 metres across and send moon dust flying hundreds of kilometres across the barren, pockmarked surface

US tracking suggest it is. No matter we cannot see the big bang on the other side of the moon

From a £230 unpaid bill to the loss of a £3m castle

Some time you have to wonder!

Mrs Van Overwaele had allegedly refused to pay a £230 factor's bill relating to a bridalwear business she owned in Helensburgh in 1997. She claimed the bill had nothing to do with her.

A trivial amount to cost a castle over. I know a few Scottish people- they are not ones to miss a shout with. Tight parts on debts link

No matter we cannot see the big bang on the other side of the moon....quote

We can see whatever "they" allow us to see.

there are a number of satellites flying around the moon now that could show us .....should "they" wish us to have that knowledge.....the previous moon landing sites, equipment left there , footprints etc

we are not being allowed to see this , I wonder why.

Perhaps, like Earth, the moon is flat?
