I'm sure I spotted a bloke on a boogy board go past.
That would have been a buoy on a boogy board.

A bloke I worked with in the '70s, landed a job as a Navigator on a North Sea, oil rig, supply ship.

One of his comments to me that comes to mind, was "Sometimes it gets very interesting!"

Another mate, who did two stints in Antarctica, said that their supply ship got blown five days off its course!

I've been in 7m-9m seas and would never want to come across a 17m wave. I have seen some monsters at Nazaré, in Portugal.

If you build it- They will come????

"A council has nearly finished building a £51million 'park and ride' site that critics claim will not be used 'for years' because there is no road into it.
The 850-space car park off the A40 in Eynsham, Oxfordshire was finished in January - apart from some landscaping works - and was promised to cut congestion in the area by a third."

Promises Promises! IT didn't say WHEN

The headline has more to do with politics than reality. The park and ride is part of a larger project of road improvements attached to adding 20k of houses that will access via the road. As always the opposition claims it is in the wrong place and not an appropriate solution for the area

The toothbrush was invented in Tasmania. If it had been invented anywhere else, it would have been called a teethbrush.
