Yes, that's just up the road from here, I can't remember a June ever being this cold, wet and windy.
Yesterday, in the workshop I was listening to a Boffin from the BOM, sharing with us the reason why it'll be a very warm, dry winter this year, due to the Diapole, El nino blah blah.
At least I think that's what he said but it was difficult to hear him from the rain lashing the tin roof and the sound of my teeth chattering.

Thanks for your concern Ian, but here is ok as we are surrounded by valleys which obviously contain creeks on 3 sides & the upper boundary was contoured yonks ago by the olde fellahs & now contains a Vineyard which then run into cricks. These are not yet running a banker & probably won't now, but the dam is going over.


Had a slight ceiling leak last week which my grandson fixed purely by a fluke but didn't notice anything amiss while he was up there & miraculously have not had a drop there since. For an underground Miner up North he certainly knew what he was doing (or not) upon the roof.

Very Windy here atmo so will wander up the driveway later to if any trees & or branches have dropped. SA SES from Mt. Barker came here some years ago & based on their opinion that Ambulance Access anytime was always essential, cleared the driveway of logs to the side.


After which we had the Tree guys in to check & cut any branches that they could see may be a problem later & so far so good no more have dropped. Now I suppose they will having said that.

BOM is uttering statements about a nationwide deluge in the oncoming week, spreading across cental Australia through to se coast.

Seems to be some conflicting info. With an outdoor wedding to attend next friday could get interesting.
