"Have you seen my tweety bird" flash back with your post Des. A Navy mate had a tattoo of tweety bird on a private part. He asked several ladies "Have you seen my tweety bird?". Some saw it and some saw in in the position you described. Not my car happily as I had a motorcycle at the time

In your case a Sidecar may have been possible while precarious it may have been.

Where is the TC Ian? I thought I saw a glimpse of it near the start, but damned if I can find it now.

Not too many Series 1 hard top Land Rovers in captivity, or is it a station wagon? Just about make out the number plate, but does not appear to say what year it may be?
I parked down by the servo and arrived at the arena after the video shoot Well I thought I did

My first car was a 1933 L type sporting a 6 cyclinder engine. Basket case that my late father bought for me before I had a drivers licence. Partly restored it, but 17 year olds needed somethinng with a bigger back seat, so idiot number 1 sold it.
I bet you wish you still had the 1933 L type in your garage

    Mine gets used and abused

Oh yes! The car is still around, in Victoria I beleive. It is listed on the pre-war mg website; L0617.

Just a few months ago I went and looked at a TF near where I am, with the intention of buying it. Alas, at 79 years old I could not get in the bloody thing!

I ended up buying a SWB Series 1, which I can manage to get in and out of!

Talking about the TC reminds me of an occasion back when they were pretty new. Nobody had telephones, and a relative came to our place to tell us about a death in the family (possibly my grandfather, I don't rmember though).

The relative, my sister's brother in law, had to borrow his son's TC to come over, as his car (I think it was probably a prewar Dodge) was out of action. The main thing I remember about the visit was the complaints about the driving position, and every other vehicle on the road being so much higher. He was a middle aged factory worker.

As a small boy, just getting interested in cars, I had never seen anything like it.
