Just as everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Where an opinion is something that has facts to support for or against - someone’s opinion is Wrong! (They’re still entitled to it)

In the case of ANYBODY using their rights/freedoms/opinions that then incur cost to others - eg. where a medical treatment (say a vaccine) was available and not utilised for non-medical reasons - that person, assuming they survive, should incur full medical costs. And if they don’t survive it should come from the estate.

Do you, or have you ever inhaled fumes from soldering or welding? Do you, or have you ever work with asbestos. ALL of the above are far more deadly than this virus, and nobody suggests denying sufferers medical help as to do so would be obscene. Australia has been at the forefront in supporting communities with cholera, ebola and HIV, but we cannot do the same with this? Do you REALLY mean that?

Sorry James, that point is really indefensible. "ALL of the above are potentially as deadly as this virus" is likely more accurate, unless you are suggesting that nobody has died as a direct result of contracting COVID.

I personally knew at least one person who has died as a probabilistic result of each of those (bar soldering/welding fumes. Never heard of that one unless they were welding chlorinated solvents and made phosgene). Some more probable than others. I knew 3 people who died as a direct complication of contracting COVID. Not probable, but certain and verified by post mortem. One of pneumonia, one of cardio vascular failure and one from multiple organ failure caused by inflammation of the endothelial cells.

I think that this has gone far enough for me. I said many posts ago that this was problematic and should be in CA. I was ignored, and attacked by someone who should know better. You are all entitled to your opinion. But so am I. I'm done with this topic.

Unfortunately not. The most conclusive was the multiple organ failure, where the inflammation of the endothelial cells caused shredding of the blood cells, blocking capillaries in the organs. In another context this is known as "Thrombotic microangiopathy" and is a complication post bone marrow transplant (thus my particular interest in that one). In COVID victims its caused by an out of control immune response known as the "Cytokine storm". That was pretty conclusive.

Still, you said you're done so I've removed your nick from the quote tags so you don't get the quote PM. Again, reasoned dispassionate debate where I managed to start by calling you someone else. I'm not attacking you, but when you post that pretty much everything is more deadly than COVID, I'd be happy to argue the toss. Feel free to ignore this post.

On the topic of COVID though, do try to keep away from it, there is significant medical evidence that it's a life limiting disease, even if it doesn't kill you out of the gate.
