    Rego check scam

    I recently paid 1 dollar for a rego check and then noted that 4.95 had been taken from my account.
    I queried this with the provider windsor gb ..whoever they are..to be told I had also signed up for a monthly service for "useful information" ...no specifics provided. .for ever until I cancelled the service.

    OMG...I have been had😐

    I thought the gov had stopped these scams years ago but apparently not...so be very careful if you see a 1 dollar rego check...it could be much more expensive.

    No doubt there is some smart a...sitting poolside watching million roll into his account from idiots like me🙄

    There are online free rego checks , for every state of Australia.
    The govt will never be able to stop scammers.

    It's like the MAA CTP check in NSW.
    When you Google there are about 5 -6 paid ads before you get to the free NSW govt check.
