    Dirty Rotten A**holes

We got a call last night at 1:30am from the cops… someone had stolen Kim’s (my wife) Subaru and driven it to Jordanville station and dumped it… That part really didn’t bother us it’s a pita but it was the 3 phone calls they made to Kim’s olds that ****ed me off a little!! Why not wait till a normal hour to ring them/us….. It scared the crap out us!! Anyway they busted the drivers door lock mind u the doors are always left open ;p…..and the ignition barrel was smashed the strange this was they pulled the main spark lead off the coil and dumped it in the boot?????!!!!!

I have done the ring around and no working 2nd hand parts can be found so we will have to get new ones….. all up fitted it’s going to be around $500 :x :x and Racv wont tow it as it’s not a break down…. Lucky AAMI will cover us up to 5k damage and they will tow it…. So we are just going to make a claim and get it fixed professionally as they have probly busted the steering lock mech as well :x :x :x

Not much fun when it happens.

About 10 yrars ago my wife went into town for a girls night out. Parked it on a meter near Hyde Park. Out she comes, & the Ford is gone.

Tried to report it stolen but the cops wouldn't take her seriuosly. A bunch of half-tanked females, & she couldn't remember the rego number.

The others gave her a lift back to Town Hall station to get the train. And there was the car, outside a pub. So she nicked it back!

    Regards

I would say they put the spark plug in the boot as they intended to use the car again and wanted it to be there when they got back. I mean you just can't trust people can you. I bet you another car was pinched from Jordanville Station- maybe nearby as it may have video surveillance there.
I used to live 200m from Ripponlea Station and the young lowlifes from the suburbs we won't mention, would time thier thieving so they could dash to the station and make a getaway..

Gets annoying when this crap happens. Excess alone is a sod.

Had a datto 1600 stolen years ago. 4 weeks later we get a call from the bloke in sydney asking us to move our car from his lawn as the cops still hadn't removed it, They didn't tell us either. When we arrived to get we were nabed by the police surveilance watching the car. Turns out there were weapons left in it so they were hoping the theiveswould return. At least there was no damage to it, or you couldn't tell anyway. ops:
