SubscriberI’m looking at purchasing a very small business, as a side project to my real job, so saving money where I can.
vendor wants me to do contract etc as will save me $ on purchase price. He’s time poor not money poor.
so I’m wondering if anyone has a current template for sale of a business contract.
in case it matters both vendor and buyer are in QLD.

Have you looked in Word under templates as there are a surprising number of documents there. Probably wouldn't reflect Australian law though.
Another option might be the websites of the Law Society and the Business Council.
Any solicitor should have one.

Law Society etc don't offer templates.
Yes most solicitors can/will offer them - at a cost - which seems to start around $99.
Because of the nature of the business ANY money I can save at this point I can invest in growing the business.
So I was hoping there was someone on here that might be generous and offer me one for free (by PM if they prefer, of course)

In WA, we have the Small Business Development Corporation which is quite helpful. Is there something similar in Qld? Or just email the SBDC in WA. They may have something ready to go.

SubscriberThat site has plenty of good information but says see a solicitor to get a contract.
Other thing I need to know is whether contract needs to be registered somewhere and if any stamp duty is payable.
