    Revenge is sweet...

#3 son, the (Tradesman now) Light + Diesel Motor Mechanic never had a nice word to say about The Lady Sarah when we were an 'item', and the comments about her oil leaks were....cutting.
However, his Ford Ranger diesel was recently re-conditioned by a well-reputed business, specialising in doing high precision rebuilds, from street racers to (4WD) diesels.
But all is not well, for despite the payment of large monie$, Son has seen fit to send it back twice, for 'oil leaks', and it's still there after 2 weeks.

Questions about when he'll be re-united with his "Landrover" are not being well-received.

I'm Not Leaking Oil, I'm Marking My Territory Sticker. 4.75".

You need to order one of these and have it ready when it comes home

Update:- It's been brought home, under cover of darkness...
Current exhortation from the Reconditioner is to DRIVE / Run-in the engine, PUSH it instead of wimpy idling and gentle acceleration downhill...and see if the oil weeping settles down as the surfaces get used to each other...
I've suggested climbing hills at the bottom end of it's torque band... and pushing it alll the way up.

Oh, and one more (known) issue.
    - In true Landrover tradition, the Ranger has a smelly / leaking.... - Heater Matrix !!!

Gosh, sounds more and more like a Classic Range Rover I once knew.

Is this where we launch into a passionate debate of which oil to use on a Wednesday with two passengers on board and driving in a westerly direction to cure oil leaks

Uphill or downhill? Auto or manual? Driver wearing thongs or boots?
    Important variables, you know.

English industry invented the oil leak. Rolls-Royce developed it into an art form. Eagle diesels were the horrible example. They seemed to leak oil from solid castings. Merlins leaked from everywhere.
