My trailcraft is a Plate boat 5mm hull, 4mm sides Not a cheap and nasty pressed lightweight boat like a Quinnie.and it has a 2.25m beam.
I have installed a "Boat Latch" retrieving system that makes launching and retrieving the boat very fast and easy which makes a beach/bush ramp launch simple with very little risk of getting bogged in the process.
Fully loaded I carry 300l of fuel (120 in the tank and 180 in drums) which gives me a range of 300 miles @ 18-20Kts.
40l of water and enough food for a week, 3 blocks of beer, Cooking gear, pillow, sleeping bags, clothes,
dunny,
40l Engle fridge, with 2x 100AH "House" batteries which run independently via a solar panel to the 2x 80 AH boat batteries.
Plus fishing gear, cast nets, 100l esky, bait, tools/spares/oil, spare props, spare anchor/rope/chain plus various other odds and sods.
So YES it is a heavy setup.
