Not sure if this one is still for sale or if it’s the one you were looking into.

Spotted in Warrnambool back in May.

Got my first speeding ticket in a brand new one just like that and BRG. Took the cop a while to catch us in their Belmont 202!

Apart from my 1950 S1 I have owned two other 59 S1's , 2x 49 P3 & a 3500SE Oporto red which I sold a few years ago wish I had not. I am a mechanic by trade always worked for BMC, Leyland , JRA Deales before leaving the trade. Should know better buying these British cars.
No I don’t but I follow his Instagram account which is how I found out it was stolen. Apparently it’s still missing.

    I’ve got a 1976 RR Classic, 1979 Series III and a 1993 Defender 110 along with the 1968 P5B. It’s an obsession...

That is NICE ! We have a couple of nice P5's up here in the Rover Car Club. A P5 would be nice but don't have enough room left in the garage to fit one . It's a bite likevthe Castle , have to shift the the Hyundai to shidt the BMW then move the 80" to get to the old 1950 wooden box trailer with the water pump to run off the PTO. Hoping to get rid of the 100 storage boxes of quilting meterial my wife put in there as a tempory home 8 year ago soon that should give a bit more room.
I have a few P5 parts new & 2nd hand , things like dash switvhes , indicator switches & I think there are some new no plate lights so if you are looking for anything send me a PM & if I have it you can have fore the cost of the postage. I have 50 to 100 of each the red, green, orange & clear dash indicator light lens.

I've been a big fan of the Rover SD1 for a long time. I've owned 4 of them over the years. I rate it as one of the best drivers cars I've owned. I've had standard ones and modified ones. My current one has an LS1 V8 in it. Really fun to driveNeed some help to look at a car. InVictoria. I won't ever sell this one. Good luck finding a good example. They seem to be getting a little bit harder to find. Here's a couple of pics .

There nice. Yes excelent drive we sold ours years ago had 100,000kms one it when we bought it & over 500,000kms & had never had anything done to the motor or drive train but never used a drop of oil when we traded it . Market value had droped to around $1000 . If you didn't drive it for a couple of days the lifters would drain off making it hard to turn over so was going to need a motor rebuild , the transmission had a leaking selector seal which was a transmission rebuild & the clear coat was braking dow on the hatch , so needed around $15,000 spending on it back then was a lot of money. I thought about fixing it but we could have spent all that money on it & have some one run into it & wright it off & get $1,000 less excess so got rid of it .. Every car we have owned since my wife says it' not as the Rover , she has never forgiven me for getting rid of it. A couple of years after selling it I would see it in somebodys yard about 15min drive from us , I was tempted to go & try to buy it back then the must have sold it . Couple of years ago one of our club members bought it for parts , not realizing it was our old car wrecked it & it wasn't untill he pulled the back end out of it he realized it was our old car because of the rear suspension bump stops I had made when I couldn't buy genunine ones. He told me the car had no rust in it & the main body shell went for scrap.
There are a good one for sale in the club at the moment the owmer wants to sell but it's white & wife want's Oporto Red & it's a big job to change the colour , means almost a complete strip down & I am too old for that.

I don't do modern ****boxes. Resale value is always an issue if you buy a less well known car .... as the 2nd hand market is so small. Same deal with Saab, Renault, fiat, jaguar, rover etc.etc.etc ....The C4's (especially the picasso) were quite reasonable cars for a boring modern ****box

To put it into perspective, the newest car I've ever owned is my range rover classic.
