I'm looking at buying a second hand 2010 discovery 4 TD SE.
It is through a dealer just wondering if any one has ever got the extended warranty and is it worth the paper it is printed on?

My only advice is - read the terms very carefully. I had an extended warranty once - the car had to be serviced every 3 months, and certain categories could only be claimed once per claim. In my case the wiring loom shorted out and fried ALL of the ecu’s. under the warranty I could only claim $500 - despite having to replace the loom and 2 separate ecu’s..
In my case the repair came out to just under $5k - and I could only claim $500.. Oh and that’s after paying an excess...

run and don't look back then run some more. I had a RR Classic that wouldn't go into 4wd, linkage was bent not broken so not covered I offered to go and smash it with a hammer told not covered because of intentional damage. One time auto needed fixing not covered due to some clause as well. Lesson learnt.
