    British 4 x 4 in Sunshine Coast?

British 4 x 4 were suggested as a possibility by MR Automotive, who were too booked up for the next month to fix any problems that might arise from a check out of the D4 transmission groan that has developed in the last 1K km towing the brick around the country.
Anyone know anything about them please?
    Cheers

I haven't had a great deal to do with them, but the little l have had resulted in positive outcomes. I've not heard anything bad about them.
Would a brand specific transmission specialist be more appropriate?

    Had good experiences there
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

I have had good experiences there as well, although most of my work goes to MR. The web site is below , check out the defenders they built for Jamie Hazeldine and his off road videos.

I'm losing my touch. See if this works. Jamie is a top bloke. Been to his shop a couple of times. Also bought an EZYTRAIL camper off his daughter, who has the franchise at the Caboolture/ Bribie business precinct. She couldn't do enough for us.

    That worked. Here's some more

Mea Culpa - British Offroad it is.
Unfortunately they can't help for at least a week, so any other suggestions in the Noosa area??

I'm not convinced it is transmission per se - more like a centrally located half shaft/bearing, but I'm no expert, strictly a steerer.
I do have front and rear wheel bearing sets with me, but the noise is definitely in the transfer case general area. Disappears when backing off the accelerator, and SWAMBO is no use/deaf for any better locating, and she doesn't drive, so can't even swap seats.

Ive had no experience with them, but I've only heard good things about them.

As above, both are on the southside of Brisbane.
You may be better off setting up camp and waiting for BOR.
