I have tyres on one vehicle that have the dates in the same Roman numerals and have had no punctures in any yet.

Is the 1418 a Mercedes tyre?

Maxxis 980 standard 19" D4 rim size.
1418 or 1419 refers to manufacturing date/year according to the people that rotated them. My original question still hasn't an answer: I'm I being a bit picky expecting 5 new tyres to all have the same build date? Not one a year older than the others.

Yes, I think you're being picky.

The older one may actually be more durable as the rubber has cured a little, but if they were all kept in the dark and cool they'll be fine.

It's sources of UV that really degrades rubber.
And heat cycles of course.

Hi Alan
If you got the 1419 tyres 5 months ago the would have yet to be made (14th week of 2019 so early April). So let’s say it was 4 1/2 months ago, you literally got them hot off the press.
The other one is 12 months old, which is still “new” in terms of tyre life, given it would have been stored out of the sun.
In your position I’d be considering that i’d got One new and 4 ultra new tyres.
The last set of new tyres I had on my D2 had two manufacturing dates where 7 months apart, so while odd I don’t think it’s unusual.
