Weeds, bloody good day out and no carnage. Guess I wasn't trying hard enough

Yep, would go again, and would say the night. Need to try some of the 'play' hills that I seen whilts driving through the property.

Wil try and upload my video soon, having problems with Zippyvideo (keeps telling me it's too big, it's only 22 Mb anyway )

Yep, weeds, as posted above, as soon as you are ready for another trip out there just post and I bet a lot more will be along next time now that they have seen what they have missed.

Don’t make it to soon, like I’m available from say, next Saturday on and I think a few of the others would jump at any trip any time soon.

Cheers and again, thanks to you and your mate, for a top trip.

BTW, weeds, if you want to make a bit of a work bee out there on the next trip, just let us know what sort of tools to bring.

Cheers.

Yep we had a great time, too. The new tyres (BFG Muds) did the trick, but I have some spring issues to sort out to get some decent articulation.

And Ace, the Rangie belongs to Drivesafe.

Drivesafe, Mrs Vlad never did take your car for a spin to get some pics. She did say however thatnext time, and pay attention here, she;d be happy to drive our Defender, while I drive your Rangie for you

Oh and thanks again Discomaniac. Nice car, but it ain't no Defender. I'll bet you didn't have dust all through YOUR cab (and lungs) when you got home....

I'll post a few photos when Mrs Vlad lets me on here for long enough to work the new forum out. I only had time to post my avatar and contribute to this thread, but don't despair. I shall be back to this freaky new, yet somehow oddly familiar, place.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Tell you what Vlad, I’ll take you up on that but I also know Mrs Vlad would be OK behind the wheel of the RR after her drive at the Boardwalk that night.

I’m also kicking myself for not planning to stop over night now, as it is obvious that everybody had another good day on Sunday.

BTW, it was great meeting all the Brisbanites, both those known from other trips and the new faces.

Always good to be able to put a face to a site name.

Cheers all and thanks for a great day out.

Sorry Ace meant to reply, yep that's my MkIII.

Oh and Vlad , ask MickG about dust.

We were talking about seals on the RR and I told him to check out the three separate seals on the doors and then I told him to wipe his hand across the top of the dash.

His hand ended up dirtier than if he just wiped it on the ground.

All the seals in the world won’t help if you drive around with the windows down.

I got enough dust from both outside and inside, when I cleaned the RR, to be able to use it as land fill.

Our very first offroad day and a great trial for our new diesel conversion. I was really pleased at how the TDI Rangie handled itself. Hmm! we might just put a diaper on it next time though.
Thanks weeds and Steve it was a great day out. Really wanted to camp over but we spent Sun removing the fuel tank, failing to fix the problem and putting it back....twice !!!
Good to meet everyone and match faces to names
