Knees got a look and a lot of interest in my hips ( Pelvis is now reinforced with a load of stainless steel screws) The short yarn is my hip joints were closely examined and in great condition after 5 decades of running and well over 100km per week for 7 years.
My theory is genetics Couch Potato or hard working/sports types may get knee/hip issues if mum and dad or gran and pop got knee/hip issues younger than 80 years old.
The other interesting research is moving even if impacted by arthritis and dodgy hips/knees reducing the impacts of those injuries. Being in a Rehabilitation hospital for a month with hundreds of 60-70-80-90 and even older showed me some people who recovered really well from the new knees or hips and sadly to many how had allowed there physically fitness to deteriorate so much they had significant trouble standing up from a chair.
