Did a neighbour a favour, heard a great story
Our76 year old neighbour , who recently lost her husband, locked herself out of her house. I supplied the ladder, the old fella , John, on the corner, gave moral support, young Nathan next door climbed thru the window. Job done. Tonight the lady Diane, came over with a thank you card & a scratchie [ old school] and a chat. Boy she can talk, probably needed someone to talk to. Turns out her grand daughter, Brea Roderick, recently went to the World junior athletics, and came back 10th in the World in her discipline. Now her daughter married into the Roderick family from Redcliffe, lawyers mostly. Her & hubbie moved to NZ , for two years , which became 20. They live north of Christchurch,[ Hutt ?] where Brea was Dux of her school, and sportsperson of the year. Brea's grandfather died hours before her race, and her Mum said she raced in tears. And became 10th in the World, Brea said her grandfather raced with her. How about that. There is a definite shortage of good stories around, this one will do me.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
