You ain't kidding rb42. Remember the good old Bush Biscuit?

Bought some a couple of years back (a clearance) & they were then half the size & weight of the ones we used to buy at the City Baths in days of yore. The originals were a good meal after a day's swimming & tasted great, notwithstanding them being soaked in Chlorinated water.
Seems all their biscuits have gone downhill in a bid to cost cut & not to use fats that they said were not good for us. Don't worry about lack of flavour.

Just another excuse for the tightarse bastards to make bigger profits I reckon.

Certainly give the TTs a miss for a couple of years Tubby, but you could replace those with the delightful & delectable SAOs topped with Tomato & Lettuce leaves. Cottage Cheese also if you wish.

You could also buy them at Henley Beach but I much preferred Chlorine to Salt water soaked ones even though they may be chemically linked they tasted very different.

They certainly don't make tins like they used to, I've had a couple of the pull ring tins leak, even explode, so for all the "preppers" or campers out there, watch out for old stock.

Another one of my packaging pet peeves, is the thickness (or rather lack thereof) of the cereal boxes nowadays, they are so thin and so large now that to hold them properly one ends up crushing them. I think they are made out of recycled toilet paper, I tried looking for tins or plastic containers to put the plastic bag in, as I didn't want to decant them, but nothing of a suitable size was available, so I ended up buying a plastic drawer from Bunnings and am using the casing as the box now, I just have to chop the drawer part off and I will have a nice lid for the newly reconfigured contraption.

Tupperware used to have a container specifically for packets of corn flake. You just dropped the bag in, not the box. It may still be available for all I know. Contact your Friendly Tupperware Rep.

I agree, packaging these days is generally really crap. The "blue Box" that my Series Starter switch came in was crushed when it arrived but fortunately the switch was ok it being a tad stronger. The carton just seemed to display advertising & a P/n but it was a blue box so what can one expect eh??
