Agreed, I'm often amazed by people who think their car is the same as my Discovery, just because they both have 4 wheels and 5 doors.

Not many of the city folk get out and about in the bush that often, So they really wouldn't have a clue what your average farmer/pastoralist drives.
Up here in the Midwest of WA there is a High percentage of farmers using 79 series utes as they are bloody amazing when it comes to towing field bins etc. around and that's with a ute full of tools and 500l or so of fuel on the tray during seeding and harvest.
Not much else on the market can do what a V8 79 series can do on the farm.
A lot of them also have Hilux, Navara, ranger etc. utes on the farm for stock work and such But when it comes to the Heavy work the 79 series is king.
