Portal front end

Like it, though it isnt showing now when I am in Forums though me thinks it was before ( Im having a tough day

I like the portal ...

As the guys have said - forums opening in another page ( or tab) would help with screen real estate... but we can wait for that.

( FYI in the current format when typing here in the reply screen - the words go off the screen - under the vertical scroll bar - and there is no horizontal scroll. I'm running 1024 x 768. If I change to a higher res like 1280x 1024 issue is fixed.)

But then I can't read it either....... my eyes are not as good as they used to be ...

I like the "Image of the Day" concept.... I can see some competition among the guys in the future to get on there!

A seperate page for the Forums preferred.

and

correct the spelling of "Australian" before Ron sees it

Currently spelt "Autralian" in four places

Looking at the Portal again,

I notice down the bottom RSS and Atom feed links

Dave are you planning on using these features?

I know there are a fair few IT types around here.... I suspect that many like me use RSS to monitor updates from various sites...

Would be very nice to be able to sneak AULRO in among my updates from Trend, Cisco, Microsoft, Digg, Slashdot, etc etc etc

I guess that's probably item 1, 743 on the list at the moment... but just wondering for the future...

I have no idea what a portal is but if it is what is causing the page to be not as wide and have to scroll backwards and forwards i hate it. Matt
