    Filler neck gasket

    How the bloomin heck do you replace the top filler neck gaskit on an early Disco1 ?

    Do you have to get at it from under the car ?

    Gasket or the hose connecting the filler neck to the tank?

    I mean the little round bugger below the filler cap.
    Its a tighr fit and I guess you have to lower the whole filler neck from below ?

    From memory you can, by a little amount, pull the neck below the level of the hole. Fit new rubber to hole. Push filler neck through hole in rubber, but may require a probe like a large screw driver to apply downward pressure here and there around the rubber while pushing the filler neck upward. Should sort of 'pop' into place when in the right alignment.
