In a recent case against a Facebook page suggesting a particular caravan was a lemon, Bruder, the manufacturers won damages of $357,000 against the FB page administrator.

In her ruling, Judge Sheridan said Bruder had shown there was a “prima facie case” for injurious falsehood and that there was “evidence before the court in relation to a number of posts by readers as to the impact that the posts have had on their intentions” to purchase from Bruder.

So if recommendations go up on Facebook or other places and I buy on the basis of those recommendations and the product is a dud - can I sue the FB page administrator too for not being able to deliver on the recommendations?
