Nice work. That should keep you both happy!
For quite a few years my wife has been wanting some were to do her quilting & store all fer fabric instead of in the garage. After much looking I found this it is called a She Shedz. 20191101_141831.jpg Sorry about the photo's on there side , any photo's I take with my phone roll on the side when I upload them on the forum.
After inquiring with the council was told if under 10sqm I don't need approval, It is only 9sqm.
We had a pergola at the front that we have only used a couple of times in the 35 odd years we have lived in the house. so 1st job was to pull it down.20191101_140327.jpg 20191101_140336.jpg20191101_141404.jpg20191101_141412.jpg20191102_121230.jpg20191104_093355.jpg20191104_113348.jpg

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
I ordered the kit & it arrived a week later on two large pallets. 20191114_113318.jpg The next job was to lay out the support beams , dig foundations ready for a flat sq base frame , This is were I ran into the 1st problem , as we had bought the house when it was 12 months old we did not know what was under the pavers. I removed the pavers were the beam supports were to go to find 50mm of concrete under them so jack hammered that out to find sand stone under that, not just any sand stone but the hard stuff , took 3days with Hilti drill & jack hammer to dig the 1st hole. I decided to dig all the 6 holes across the front of the building & drill & chemical anchor the 6 at the rear. 20191116_170710.jpg After leaving the footings a couple days it was time to start the build. 20191119_103627.jpg After squaring the 1st four boards it was just a matter of walking around slotting in the A's, B, C & D planks & screwing in the four corners until I got to 10 high when it was time to lift the door assembly into place.20191119_164719.jpg
I kept building the walls until I ran out of the long B planks & stared on the short B planks , once up 3 of these it was time to install the window assembly.20191121_145308.jpg After this I kept building the walls until I ran out of wall planks20191122_090942.jpg
At this point the front & back gable ends are slotted into place slotting the large rafters as you go. 20191122_110048.jpg 20191122_174645.jpg All the planks are tong & grove to make the structure very stable.
It was now time to fit all the planks on the roof, these are also tong & grove . 20191126_141330.jpg So that is were I am up to at the moment except I have started installing the tong & grove flooring . It being so hot here in Brisbane at the moment I only get a couple of hours work in the morning & at night but am quite pleased so far it has only taken a couple of weeks so far & the only help I have needed was to lift the door assembly into place. They have supplied some sort of tar tiles for the roof same as they use in the USA which I am going to fit but will also install Colourbond roofing over that with insulation under as this shed is on the western side of out house.
Will have to start taking the photo's with my digital camera so the shed dose not fall over.
Thanks for the heads up......

If you're going to put iron on the roof I'd leave the bitumen tiles out completely, you don't need them and they WILL smell.
