People like that should NEVER be allowed to own a boat![]()
Word fail me on this one, so had to post the video. No sound, no swearing, just one of the dumbest ****s you’re likely to see anytime soon - hopefully people like this stay clear of you these coming holidays...

I suppose the girl in the long skirt only wanted to help, but just imagine the carnage if a road train had come barrelling over that hill!

Wonder if the boat had a strap over the back of it holding it on to the trailer?
Assuming no one was injured?
If so is a little analysis in order?
First and this is probably the wrong fora for this comment, “that” boat got off lightly for what it deservesideally it should have been ejected over the bridge into oblivion
But more seriously
Tie your bloody boats down to the trailer - gravity is not enough
Also is there consensus that badness unfolded along these lines
1/ old mate in the ute got past the two vehicles
2/ came off the loud (16s) and gave a twitch to centre for the bridge
3/ poorly balanced rig got the chubby checkers
4/ being a boat trailer 99% probability override hydraulic brakes so no way to unilaterally brake trailer
5/ no brake lights so maybe old mate was giving it to try straighten up and pull through
BUT
6/ narrow bridge nail in the coffin when rear guard clipped the rail
7/ Getting back to previous point The fact the boat was held on with sticky tape may have saved him from roll-over. Rig was trying to roll the ute but when boat came loose all that torque went with it
Certainly not a masterclass in small boat towing technique but a very fortunate outcome compared to what could have been

Definitely No strap holding that boat down from what I can see in the footage, This would also have been a contributing factor in the prang But Hey the bloke was a Moron anyway and strap or no strap this was simply an accident waiting to happen.
I imagine that a planning hull Will get a fair bit of lift from the air going under it at high speeds and the boat Not being strapped down to the trailer can only cause problems.

No one injured -Yep, close I’d say. Excessive speed during overtaking - down hill too - got off the loud pedal and once the wag stared it wasn’t going to stop. Boat not strapped down, brain certainly not in gear...
Doesn’t deserve a licence - hopefully the Cops threw the book at him once the video was seen. Probably can’t prove speeding, but dangerous driving endangering life would certainly be easy enough to prove.
